?THE HANDBOOK
HOW IT WORKS
- The dev launches a coin on pump.fun through Salary Pad. No dev buy exists in the launch, so the dev holds nothing he did not buy on the market like everybody else.
- Every trade pays the pump.fun creator fee to the coin. 80% of it fills the coin's salary pot for the month.
- Holders who want a say lock tokens at the time clock. A card counts once it is at least 3d old when the ballot opens. Locked tokens are the vote weight.
- Once a month the ballot opens for the last 3d of the month. Locked holders punch YES (pay the dev) or NO (burn).
- Payday. Yes beats no and enough tokens voted (quorum 0.5% of supply): the whole pot goes to the dev. No, a tie or no quorum: the pot buys the coin back over 24h and burns every token bought.
THE MONTH
Month 1 starts at launch and lasts 30d. The ballot is scheduled at the month end minus 3d; anyone can open it from then on (the site opens it on the first punch). It ends at the month end, or 1d after it was opened if that is later. Anyone can settle it after the end; the next month starts right away.
Eligibility is measured against the scheduled opening, not the actual one: opening late cannot let fresh tokens in. Adding tokens to a card restarts its clock for the whole card. A card that voted stays locked until that ballot ends; a card that did not vote can be unlocked at any time. The dev's wallet can neither lock nor vote.
THE MONEY
- CREATOR FEE
- Set by pump.fun by market cap: from 0.95% down to 0.05% of volume. Salary Pad takes no extra fee on trades.
- 80%
- the coin's salary pot (paid to the dev on yes, burned on no).
- 10%
- buys back and burns $SALARY, the pad's own coin.
- 10%
- pad treasury.
- LAUNCH FEE
- 0.02 SOL to the treasury, plus account rents.
- SMALL POTS
- A failed vote with less than 0.001 SOL in the pot carries it to the next month.
- BURN
- The pot of a failed vote is spent in 48 buys over 24h, each guarded by a median price; every token bought is burned in the same instruction. Leftovers start a new burn window: the money of a no is only ever burned.
NUMBERS ON THIS DEPLOYMENT
| Reading the program... |
Read live from the program's config account. Changes need a 24 h timelock and are announced on chain before they apply.
TRUST
- Program sa1oRrPLxPrTLpgayGvv2bexngEUrK8xAmVtSUxTbAg. The coin's creator on pump.fun is a program account, not the dev.
- No oracle, no attestor, no off-chain signer. Every step (open the ballot, settle, burn, collect fees) can be pressed by anyone; the keeper only saves time.
- The admin can pause launches and new locks, propose parameter changes (24 h timelock), hand over roles (3 days) and set the $SALARY mint once. The admin cannot touch pots, held salary, locked tokens or burns.
- Locked tokens sit in the coin's payroll account and go back only to the wallet that locked them.
RISKS, HONESTLY
- A dev can buy on the market from another wallet, lock early and vote for himself. That is allowed and visible: he paid market price and his tokens stay locked.
- The vote is weighted by tokens: a holder with more locked tokens than everyone else decides alone.
- pump.fun can change its programs or reassign creators; if fee collection breaks, paydays wait until the rails are updated. Votes still end and cards still unlock.
- A coin whose price never settles keeps its burn reopening; the money stays dedicated to burning.
